Table Tennis Tournament - May 2007

A Table Tennis Tournament was held on May 5, 2007 by PSoA Sports and Recreational Club at the Alchemy Sports and Leisure Centre. The participants consisted mostly of amateurs, although the pros soon stood out. Shujat Siddiqui, who is also the 1976 Table Tennis Champion at Clerical & Medical, UK, showed that he is still the champion by winning the final against Jawwad Farid. Overall it was a fun event for everyone, followed by a treat at Nando's to socialise and of course satisfy those monster appetites!

Bowling Competition - February 2007

A Four-a-Side Bowling Competition was held on 2nd February, 2007 by PSoA Sports and Recreational Club at the Thunder Pins, Millennium Mall, Rashid Minhas Road Karachi.The Event was attended by a large number of PSoA Members. The final was played between the ‘Verve’ and the ‘Local Heroes’. It was an extremely close encounter and very tough for the teams where players from both sides displayed their immaculate skills. Eventually the ‘Verve’, due to their experience and ability to control their nerves at the crucial stages of the match, won the final and the competition. Junaid Akram of the ‘Verve’ was judged as the ‘Player of the Tournament’, whereas, the ‘Local Heroes’ received the ‘Fair Play’ award.
